Starting the project

Project Overview

Following a rebrand, the Herts Ability needed to be redesigned to reflect the brand. Fire Squared was brought in to design and build the site from scratch. Herts Ability were keen to look at how the website could become an effective tool for booking and managing their breadth of services to drivers wishing to get assessed and get back on the road.

UX and Design

Designing systems

Creating an accessible, effective booking system.

Fire Squared work with Herts Ability to discover how people use their website and what their current experience of it was. In order to effectively fulfil the brief, we paid particular attention to the following areas:

• Acquisition of information.
• Ease of booking assessments.
• Office management of bookings.
• Accessibility including neurodiversity.

The entire booking flow was mapped out from first point of contact to completed assessment, including numerous forms that were redesigned to be accessible to all.

Combining photography done on-site, staff interviews and usability testing, the final design fully reflects the brand, provides clearly readable information and has a robust office side booking system.
